A few years ago we had the opportunity to explore Panama and Costa Rica by joining two organized tours operated by Caravan Tours. Although we normally prefer to arrange our own travel, these tours were excellent because we were able to cover a lot of ground and because the local guides were very knowledgeable about the geography, culture and natural history.
